As this year’s National Apprenticeship week begins from the 5th-11th February, Hoot Fire & Security celebrates the graduation of one of its apprentices. After completing his end point assessment, he has become a qualified Fire & Security Engineer.
Investing in people and the future workforce is important. Investment in apprentices ensures the training is not only to the highest standard, but also tailored to Hoot Fire & Security’s customers.

We are proud to offer apprenticeship places and look forward to our newest engineer progressing his career with us. Taking on apprentices allows us to specifically train future employees with the exact skills needed to for our customer base and company ethos.”
From Hoot Fire & Security’s newest apprentices, through to those starting their final year, each apprentice undertakes combined fire and security training. This results in a larger workload, but in return gives them the skills to work across all areas of fire, security, CCTV and access control.
Their 3-year apprenticeships include system design, planning, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover. Alongside carrying out preventative and corrective maintenances to diagnose and repair faults across all systems. All of this is backed up with practical hands-on training alongside a skilled inhouse engineer and mentor.
